Built to help companies improve productivity, data security and the employee experience, Berqun lets organisations monitor performance in the office and remotely, raise productivity levels and improve company performance with reporting tools.

Thanks to thoughtfully designed features, Berqun also reduces work-related stress and the misuse of work tools. While monitoring productivity, companies preserve data privacy and security in compliance with the EU's GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

From the Beginning to Today

  1. 2006

    Nurullah KILIÇ founded Sword Information Technologies in Toronto, Canada.

  2. 2008

    The company opened its Istanbul office.

  3. Between 2011 and 2019, custom software projects were delivered for U.S. and Canadian customers.

  4. During this time, a 10-person engineering team in Noida, India worked together with the Istanbul team.

  5. Sword IT successfully completed multi-million-dollar software projects in the U.S. and Canada.

  6. In recent years the company has specialised in SaaS (Software as a Service) development.

  7. 2015

    The Berqun product was built and first used internally at the company.

  8. Berqun grew into a leader in employee productivity analytics software.

  9. 2018

    Berqun launched as a commercial product and has since been sold in more than 20 countries.

  10. Today Berqun is actively used on roughly 15,000 computers worldwide.

What Is Berqun's Mission?

We bring transparency to the way work gets done — spotting distractions, surfacing opportunities to optimise and boost productivity. We identify the hours when teams work most productively and help resolve friction caused by communication gaps. We also diagnose productivity problems and suggest solutions to employers, helping their teams improve. By comparing the productivity of office and remote workers we provide employers with data-driven decision support.

What Is Berqun's Vision?

Berqun's vision is to act as a bridge between employees and companies — working productively, transparently and steadily. We aim to become the pioneering brand in measuring and analysing productivity for desk workers, to define productivity standards for location-independent work, and to lead the productivity trends of tomorrow. A long-term goal is to establish the BQ score as a standard that belongs on employees' CVs, a lasting benchmark of productivity.
